Matt joined One Real Estate Investment in March 2022 and is an Associate on the Asset Management team. He currently assists in overseeing the East portfolio of OREI assets totaling over $500 million throughout the Sunbelt region, with over 3,500 units under management. Matt’s responsibilities include in-depth asset management of a robust portfolio, providing sub-market specific expertise in underwriting OREI assets and potential assets, financial modeling, due diligence, managing and directing property management teams across multiple states.
In his previous role, Matt worked for Rialto Capital Advisors, focused on a private equity debt fund specializing in the asset management of foreclosed CMBS loans. During his nearly 3 years at Rialto Capital Advisors, Matt underwrote more than $2.5 billion of CMBS loans collateralized by various asset types, markets, and credit qualities. He assisted in the management of +30 REO properties (i.e. hospitality, retail, office, and multifamily) totaling $400 million in unpaid principal balance. In addition, he facilitated the disposition of +$50 million in commercial real estate spanning across student housing, hospitality, retail, and office assets in the Midwest and Southeast.
Matt received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Finance from the University of Florida
